About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SARC Manager to lead our Sexual Assault Referral Centre in providing exceptional care and support to victims of sexual assault.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience, and a proven track record of managing multi-agency teams and services.

The role will involve coordinating the smooth running of the SARC, developing a strategic vision for the service, and ensuring that it meets national and local targets in relation to rape and sexual assault.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with vulnerable individuals and manage a team of employees.

They will also have a strong understanding of SARC commissioning and be trained to complete forensic examinations.

As a key member of our team, the SARC Manager will play a pivotal role in developing a trauma-informed care approach and ensuring that our services are responsive to the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the delivery of safe and effective services to all clients of the SARC
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the service, ensuring that it meets national and local targets
  • Manage a team of employees, providing leadership and support to ensure the smooth running of the SARC
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure that our services are responsive to the needs of our patients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including police and healthcare partners
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (NMC) with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
  • Basic Life Support (Training Provided)
  • Working with vulnerable people
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven track record of managing multi-agency teams and services
  • Strong understanding of SARC commissioning
  • Trained to complete forensic examinations
