About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emotional Resilience Facilitator to join our team. As a key member of our prison-based team, you will provide high-quality support and guidance to individuals first entering prison, helping them to develop healthy coping strategies and build their emotional resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver interactive emotional resilience sessions to individuals in prison, ensuring all sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the local prison population.
  • Provide one-to-one support to individuals who are unable to attend group sessions or require additional guidance.
  • Use a trauma-informed approach to build trust and create a safe space for individuals to explore challenging issues and topics.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and support.

Requirements

  • Personal experience of the social care system, criminal justice system, or lived experience of the issues facing this client group.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with individuals in prison and work confidently in a prison environment.
  • Professionally competent approach and confidence facilitating group sessions.
  • Invested interest in supporting individuals to develop healthy coping strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills.
