At Shaw Trust, we're dedicated to creating a brighter future for vulnerable young people. As a Senior Youth Support Worker, you'll be a key member of our team, providing stability, guidance, and support in a trauma-informed setting.

Your Role:

  • Build positive relationships with young people, helping them navigate complex emotions and behaviors.
  • Assist with daily routines, medication administration, and ensure the well-being of each young person.
  • Organize and participate in recreational activities that foster a supportive atmosphere and promote healing.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and the best outcomes for the young people you support.

Requirements:

  • A Passion for Helping Others: Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives.
  • Experience and Dedication: Previous experience providing emotional and behavioral support is highly desirable, but a willingness to learn and grow is essential.
  • Flexibility and Resilience: The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the home.
  • Qualifications: A willingness to work towards or a current qualification in QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
