About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Community Public Health Nurse to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our 0-19 service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children and young people in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the safe and effective delivery of the 0-19 service, working closely with the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and deliver public health initiatives through school and community-based health promotion activities, focusing on areas such as safeguarding, emotional health, sexual health, and physical health.
  • Work in partnership with children, young people, families, primary care, schools, and statutory and voluntary services to facilitate health-enhancing activities and improve health outcomes.
  • Deliver services to children and families within schools and community settings, including undertaking Healthy Child Programme transitional assessments and planning.

Requirements

  • First Level Registered Nurse or Midwife qualification.
  • Experience of delivering health promotion advice and working in partnership with other agencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Competent knowledge and skills in IT packages, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
