About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Emotional Resilience Practitioner to join our team at St Giles Trust, where you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals entering prison to develop their emotional resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, plan, and deliver interactive sessions on emotional resilience to individuals in prison, ensuring all sessions are tailored to reflect the local needs of the prison and its population.
- Deliver additional tailored sessions to individuals who are unable to attend group sessions or require additional support, using a trauma-informed approach to build trust and create a safe space for individuals to explore challenging issues.
- Build positive relationships with individuals in prison and work confidently in the prison environment.
- Facilitate group sessions with a professionally competent approach, tailoring support to meet the needs of individuals in prison.
- Support individuals in developing healthy coping strategies.
Requirements
- Personal experience of the social care system, criminal justice system, or lived experience of issues facing the client group.
- Ability to build positive relationships and work in the prison environment.
- Professionally competent approach to facilitating group sessions and tailoring support.
- Invested interest in supporting individuals in prison to develop healthy coping strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills.
