We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Settling in Facilitator to join our team at St Giles Trust. As a key member of our prison-based team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals entering prison to develop their emotional resilience and coping strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality emotional resilience sessions to individuals in prison, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
  • Provide tailored one-to-one support to individuals who require additional assistance, utilising a trauma-informed approach to build trust and rapport.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver a comprehensive support package, incorporating expertise around lived experience and local knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives and programs, ensuring a seamless and effective service delivery.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including prison staff, to promote the benefits of our emotional resilience program and foster strong working relationships.
Requirements
  • Personal experience of the social care system, criminal justice system, or lived experience of the issues facing this client group (although applications from those without lived experience are also encouraged).
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, with the ability to think creatively and respond to changing circumstances.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a willingness to engage in reflective practice and continuous improvement.
