Bicester, United Kingdom Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust - Inclusion Services Full time

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Trainee Recovery Worker at HMP Bullingdon, a large and bustling CAT B Local Remand prison. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody in recovery from addiction and/or has personal experience of being in custody, to connect with and support others who are having similar experiences.

This role offers a unique chance to make a difference in the lives of our service users while receiving excellent training and career progression opportunities. You will be provided with excellent training over 2 years and once you have successfully completed this you will then progress to a Band 5 Recovery Worker.

You will be involved in providing psychosocial substance misuse interventions, working closely with our healthcare provider to deliver clinical services. Your responsibilities will include completing assessments, facilitating group work, and establishing strong relationships with community services to ensure continuity of care upon release for our service users.

Individuals with lived experience of substance misuse and recovery will be valued for the unique perspective and insight they bring to the role - showing through your own knowledge, experience and learning that change is possible.

Our goal is to provide hope, motivation, and support for men in recovery at HMP Bullingdon, while also enhancing continuity of care to facilitate drug and alcohol-free lives upon their release.

Research has shown the powerful impact that lived experience can have on improving outcomes for recovery from substance misuse. Your first-hand understanding and awareness of the effects of substance misuse, both on individuals and the community, are invaluable assets in this role.

**Make a meaningful impact**: Your unique perspective and insights will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their path to recovery.
**Comprehensive training**: We will provide you with the necessary training and resources to succeed in your role.
**Join a supportive team**: Work alongside dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping others.
