Transport Driver Opportunity in Oban

We are seeking an enthusiastic Transport Driver with a passion for driving and a keen interest in learning about the construction materials industry. As a key member of our Distribution Team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for efficiency, safety, and quality by delivering products throughout West Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver concrete, coated asphalt, and aggregates safely and efficiently, adhering to legal requirements and prioritizing health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Liaise and build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure seamless delivery operations.
  • Collaborate with the area Transport Manager to optimize delivery schedules and routes, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation.
  • Contribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights and weekends, to meet business needs.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A valid Class C License and current Driver CPC.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively interact with colleagues and customers.
  • A hard-working attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
  • A genuine interest in the construction materials industry and a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as:
