About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Acute Care Quality Improvement Specialist.

As a key member of our organisation, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of learning and quality improvement within our acute care services. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our trust maintains a forward-thinking approach to learning from deaths and continuous improvement within the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Agenda.

About Us

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is the main provider of acute hospital services for around half a million people in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and mid Wales.

We provide a wide range of acute hospital services including accident & emergency, outpatients, diagnostics, inpatient medical care, and critical care at our main service locations - The Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) in Telford and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) in Shrewsbury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted solutions.
  • Analyse complex data to inform decision-making and drive positive change within our organisation.
  • Prioritise workload and demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing priorities.
Requirements
  • BSc degree qualification or equivalent experience in a healthcare-related discipline.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Clinical registration, for example, NMC or AHP.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
