We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Oncologist to join our team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. This is a replacement appointment, offering an exciting opportunity for someone to provide comprehensive cancer care services in a dynamic environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To work collaboratively with consultant colleagues, providing oncology expertise and contributing to the development of site-specialised cancer services.
  • To participate in out-of-hours services and provide acute oncology care.
  • To supervise and manage junior medical staff, while ensuring excellent team-working skills.
  • To deliver clinical and quality targets, agreed both nationally and locally with clinical teams and commissioners.

Job Requirements:

A successful candidate will have MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, FRCR (Clinical Oncology) or equivalent qualification, higher research degree in a cancer-related subject, and evidence of postgraduate study in the specialty.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £85,000 - £115,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
