Physiotherapy Leadership Opportunity

We seek an accomplished Physiotherapist to lead our rotational team at Pilgrim Hospital, focusing on Acute Medicine, Acute Respiratory, and Health Care of the Older Person teams.

This opportunity offers a chance to contribute to a highly regarded Physiotherapy team committed to excellence and continuous growth. The successful candidate will benefit from comprehensive training, supervision, and CPD support.

Main Accountabilities:
  • Lead the delivery of physiotherapy services to patients during rotations of Acute Medicine, Acute Respiratory, and Health Care of the Older Person teams.
  • Independently manage your caseload, maintaining high standards of care.
  • Regularly engage in training and peer review, fostering professional growth.
  • Oversee junior staff, Therapy Assistants, and Physiotherapy students, guiding them to achieve graduate-level competencies and collaborate with universities as necessary.
  • Initiate and conduct evidence-based audits and research projects to enhance clinical practices.
  • Join the respiratory 7-day rota and participate actively in the evening respiratory on-call shift.

Essential Criteria:Qualifications and Professional Development:
  • Hold a Degree in Physiotherapy (Essential).
  • Maintain a CPD portfolio with evidence of relevant postgraduate courses (Essential).
  • Be registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) (Essential).
Practical Experience and Skills:
  • Hold at least 18 months of experience in the acute setting, with a deep understanding of diverse conditions (Essential).
  • Contribute to student or assistant supervision, enhancing educational capabilities (Essential).
  • Effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Essential).
Remuneration and Benefits:

This key role offers a salary range of £30,401 - £43,041 per annum, recognizing its importance in delivering exceptional patient care.
