North of England - Covering areas from Yorkshire to Newcastle.

Role Responsibilities:

As the Area Sales Manager, you will focus on fostering relationships with both existing and prospective clients to enhance business growth and achieve designated sales objectives while boosting brand visibility.

Your role will involve selling a diverse array of agricultural products tailored for the Agricultural and Equine sectors.

This position requires extensive travel within your assigned territory.

Key Duties:

  • Manage sales of agricultural and equine products directly to merchants and select farmers, nurturing existing accounts and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Achieve sales targets by identifying and developing new business prospects.
  • Utilize CRM software for daily activity tracking, project management, and customer insights.
  • Communicate market trends and customer feedback effectively to management.
  • Maintain a proactive and positive approach in handling orders and sales inquiries.
  • Compile sales reports, prepare agendas for client meetings, and ensure readiness for all customer interactions.
  • Update CRM systems daily and plan customer engagements effectively.
  • Report on sales progress during regular sales meetings.
  • Support marketing initiatives to enhance brand recognition and business growth.
  • Participate in sales meetings, conferences, trade shows, and promotional events as necessary.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated B2B field sales experience in a similar capacity within the agricultural or equine sectors.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the farming, agriculture, and equine industries.
  • Residing in the Northern regions of England.
  • Possession of a full clean driving license.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in commercial marketing and merchandising.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Advanced negotiation and sales skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in IT (MS Platforms, CRM, ERP, etc.) and administrative tasks.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
