About the Company:

A leading manufacturer specializing in Agricultural and Equine Products.

Role Responsibilities:

As the Area Sales Manager, you will be tasked with fostering relationships with both existing and prospective clients to enhance business growth and achieve set sales objectives while elevating brand visibility.

Your responsibilities will include selling a diverse array of agricultural products tailored for the Agricultural and Equine sectors.

This position requires extensive travel within your designated territory.

Key Duties:
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Directly selling agricultural and equine products to merchants and select farmers, managing current accounts while cultivating new business opportunities.
  • Achieving sales targets by identifying new business prospects with both existing and new clients.
  • Utilizing CRM software for tracking daily activities, projects, and customer insights.
  • Effectively communicating market trends and customer feedback to management.
  • Maintaining a proactive and positive approach when handling orders and sales inquiries.
  • Assisting in the preparation of sales reports, creating agendas for client meetings, and ensuring readiness for all customer interactions.
  • Updating your CRM daily and planning customer meetings efficiently.
  • Reporting on sales progress during weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings.
  • Supporting marketing initiatives to enhance brand awareness and business growth.
  • Participating in sales meetings, conferences, trade shows, and open days as necessary.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated B2B field sales experience in a similar capacity within the agricultural or equine industry.
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the farming, agriculture, and equine sectors.
  • Located in the Northern regions of England.
  • Possession of a full clean driving license.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in commercial marketing and merchandising.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Advanced negotiation and sales skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
