About Us:
We are excited to partner with a children's residential home, Long Term Futures Ltd, to appoint a Learning Disability Children's Residential Support Worker. This role is dedicated to supporting children with learning disabilities, including Autism, ADHD, and non-verbal communication, helping them to thrive.
Salary & Benefits:
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £28,500 - £33,200 per annum, based on the national average for the location (£11.90 - £12.70 per hour plus £60 per sleep-in). We also offer a company pension (3% employer contribution), 224 hours annual leave, double pay on Bank Holidays, training and NVQ qualifications provided, and an employee wellbeing service.
Key Responsibilities:
This role involves providing care, guidance, and support in line with Ofsted regulations. You will maintain a safe, supportive atmosphere focused on health, education, and personal development. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need experience with Autism, ADHD, or non-verbal communication. Knowledge of Makaton or PEC's is desirable. A valid UK/EU manual driving licence is essential. You must also be flexible to work a rolling rota with sleep-in shifts. An enhanced DBS and safer recruitment checks are required.
