As a Business Development Director for our Cataract Services, you will play a key role in growing our referral base through high street opticians, promoting Optegra's expertise in cataract treatment, excellent patient benefits, and five-star hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of a large referral base of patients through high street opticians
  • Build strong and robust customer relationships with existing and prospective referrers
  • Promote Optegra's cataract services, patient benefits, and referral pathways

As the first point of contact for both existing and prospective referrers, you will be responsible for growing your referral base by building strong and robust customer relationships. You will be proactive, enjoy meeting new people, and confident amongst senior and professional members of the ophthalmic community.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will have demonstrable sales experience, preferably within an Optometric/Optician role or within FMCG, and will be able to work alone and as part of a team.

We offer a generous salary package including a basic salary of £40,000 plus 30% commission, which equates to an estimated annual salary of £53,600. This includes car allowance, pension contributions, private healthcare, 24/7 GP appointments, physio, and counselling for your wellbeing, as well as access to thousands of discounts from high street retailers and travel companies.

Requirements
  • Demonstrable sales experience, preferably within an Optometric/Optician role or within FMCG
  • Able to work alone and as part of a team
  • Full, clean driving license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
