About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client, an agricultural investment company based in Sawtry, as a Finance Assistant. You will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a key role in processing and problem-solving for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable using an ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices with accurate general ledger codes within tight deadlines.
  • Coordinate weekly payment runs to ensure timely invoice payments.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors to resolve accounts payable issues efficiently.
  • Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and support monthly close procedures.
  • Maintain credit card paperwork and process monthly entries in the general ledger.
  • Assist with monthly inventory adjustments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of sales invoices.
  • Act as Petty Cash Custodian.
  • Monitor and assist in capturing accurate employee hours in the timekeeping system.
  • Perform data entry for various systems and databases.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • 1-3 years of finance experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in ERP systems.
