Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on employment law, company policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including managers, employees, and external partners.

  • Monitor and report on HR metrics and trends, providing insights and recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining the integrity of HR data and systems.
  • Administer employee relations activities, including performance management, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling.
  • Develop and maintain company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice.
  • Consult with external experts, such as employment lawyers, to ensure expert advice and guidance.

Requirements

  • Strong professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent customer service or stakeholder management skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust.
  • Adaptable, with a willingness to reprioritize based on operational or business needs.
  • A strong multitasker, able to plan, organize, and follow through to task completion.
  • Solutions-orientated, with good decision-making skills.
  • A passion for detail, with a desire to grow and learn.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with an employee relations focus.
  • CIPD level 5 or working towards the qualification would be an advantage.
  • Familiar with regulations and governance pertaining to employment law in the UK.
