Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Compliance Oversight at Howden Group Holdings. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a strong background in compliance and risk management to take on a key leadership role in our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust compliance frameworks and methodologies to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and oversee compliance projects, providing timely and relevant management information to senior management.
  • Contribute to the development of our compliance plan, ensuring it remains aligned with industry and government regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior operational management to ensure compliance systems and controls remain effective.
  • Work closely with the Risk Management Function to deliver support in relation to regulatory risk.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in policy advisory, monitoring, remediation, or assurance across different aspects of financial services or financial markets.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, particularly in relation to health, benefits, and life products, within both ICOBs and COBs.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements in relation to investment, pension, and mortgage products.
  • Ability to apply judgment from a regulatory perspective to internal and market information.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in developing monitoring frameworks using a variety of desk-based and field-based tools.
  • Leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to write concise and impactful reports, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance.
