**Job Title:** Community Health and Wellbeing Specialists
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Community Health and Wellbeing Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with children and young people, their parents, education and health colleagues to prevent school exclusions.
As a specialist in emotion regulation, you will use a restorative coaching methodology to enable young people to make informed decisions about their personal development, behaviour, welfare and mental health.
This is a fixed-term role, and we are looking for someone who can commit to working with us until March 2026.
Main Responsibilities- Work closely with schools' leadership teams and Healthy Schools Engagement workers to provide intensive targeted support to enable Essex schools to develop emotion-regulation strategies.
- Develop and implement co-produced action plans with children, young people and their families to enhance emotion regulation skills.
- Facilitate professional development for school support staff, students and teachers on trauma-responsive approaches.
- Serve as a coach to support teachers and support staff in integrating emotion coaching into their classrooms.
**Salary:** £28,875 per annum (plus group pension)
**Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in working therapeutically with children and young people with emotional health needs.
- Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office packages.
- A driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
