About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled coaches to join our team as Emotion Regulation Coaches. In this role, you will work with children and young people, their parents and carers to develop strategies for enhancing emotional regulation.

Using a restorative coaching methodology, you will enable young people to make informed decisions about their personal development, behaviour, welfare and mental health.

This is a fixed-term role, and we are looking for someone who can commit to working with us until March 2026.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work closely with schools' leadership teams and Healthy Schools Engagement workers to provide targeted support to enable Essex schools to develop emotion-regulation strategies.
  • Develop and implement co-produced action plans with children, young people and their families to enhance emotion regulation skills.
  • Facilitate professional development for school support staff, students and teachers on trauma-responsive approaches.
  • Coach and support teachers and support staff in integrating emotion coaching into their classrooms.

**Salary:** £28,875 per annum (plus group pension)

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in working therapeutically with children and young people with emotional health needs.
  • Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office packages.
  • A driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
