Community Health Specialist

Transform lives by supporting the emotional wellbeing of children and young people in our community. As a Youth Wellbeing Practitioner, you will work closely with schools, parents, and health professionals to develop effective strategies for preventing school exclusions and promoting positive relationships.
Main Responsibilities:- Collaborate with education and health teams to provide targeted support for schools, enabling them to create a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.
- Develop and implement co-produced action plans with children, young people, and their families to enhance emotional regulation skills and promote overall wellbeing.
- Facilitate professional development for educators, focusing on trauma-informed approaches and emotion coaching techniques.
- Coach teachers and support staff on integrating emotion coaching into classroom practices, fostering a supportive and responsive learning environment.
The ideal candidate possesses a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience working therapeutically with children and young people. They must also be proficient in IT systems and Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. A driving license and access to a vehicle are required for work purposes.
