Wellbeing Assistant

We are seeking a caring and compassionate Wellbeing Assistant to join our team at a reputable Secondary School in York. As a Wellbeing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing emotional support to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2:1 Psychology-related degree from a Top 20 University and experience working with children with SEN or SEMH. You will be required to work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement effective strategies to promote student wellbeing and academic achievement.
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Psychologist to gain valuable experience in a school setting. The successful candidate will work alongside qualified SEMH professionals, Specialist Teachers, and Educational Psychologists to create a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support to students with SEMH needs.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement effective strategies to promote student wellbeing.
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive school culture.
What We Offer:
• Salary: £29,600 - £30,400 per annum (pro rata) | Paid weekly on PAYE basis.
