Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Support Specialist for Young People to join our team at Prospero Teaching. In this rewarding role, you will provide crucial support to young individuals with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues in a SEN school setting in Wythenshawe, Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality SEN support, community work, attendance, and behaviour management services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver SEN support to young people in a SEN school and community environment.
  • Take attendance and communicate with parents regarding absences.
  • Provide SEN support in the community through collaborative efforts with social services and other relevant parties.
  • Manage behaviour and engage young people with the curriculum using effective behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.

Requirements:
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Possess a full, clean UK driving license and have access to your own vehicle.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Hold two professional child-related references.
