Manufacturing Process Control Engineer

**About the Role:** Quality Technician Position in Plymouth
TQR is seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join our Engineering business based in Plymouth. This is a permanent opportunity with an estimated salary of £33,000 including shift premium.
Job Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures through regular internal audits. They will also inspect finished products, investigate and resolve quality issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
- Inspect finished products to verify quality and conformance.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Coach and mentor team members to promote a culture of quality.
- Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives, such as APQP.
- Ensure compliance with quality documentation and procedures.
- Primary point of contact for quality-related enquiries.
Requirements:
- HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering or technical discipline.
- 1-2 years of experience in a quality assurance, manufacturing, or inspection role.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
