Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Specialist to join our team in Plymouth. As a key member of our production engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new manufacturing processes, optimizing existing ones, and troubleshooting production issues.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Production Engineer to work with a world-renowned manufacturer in Plymouth. You will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing and enhancing manufacturing processes for precision components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency and cost.
  • Optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency and cost.
  • Design and conduct experiments to test new processes and materials.
  • Troubleshoot issues within production and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement new processes and resolve production issues.
  • Ensure that manufacturing processes are compliant with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in production/ manufacturing engineering/process essential, aerospace industry experience advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, optimization and process design.
  • Skilled in statistical process control (SPC) and other quality control methods.

Salary & Benefits

The annual salary for this position is £45,000, plus excellent benefits package.
