Lead Manufacturing Engineer

Compensation Package:The salary for this role is estimated at £55,000 per annum, plus a 5% bonus.
Job Description:This position is responsible for supporting plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes and leading continuous improvement / cost out initiatives across the organization.
Main Tasks:- To develop and maintain robust, cost-efficient manufacturing processes and product structures consistent with lean manufacturing practices.
- To lead cost-out events and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- To implement methods and practices to reduce variation and improve quality.
This involves working closely with the plant leadership to execute the organization's strategic plan and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:Detailed knowledge of engineering design and product reliability concepts.
Detailed knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques – i.e. value stream mapping, one piece flow, etc.
Detailed knowledge of Six Sigma concepts and tools as they relate to minimizing process / product variability – i.e. regression analysis, design of experiments, hypothesis testing, etc.
