Job Opportunity

A skilled Production Technician is required to work in our high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have a qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering or a time served apprenticeship. Experience in a high volume, highly automated manufacturing environment is essential. The ideal candidate will have a methodical approach, be organised and self-motivated with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical faults in a timely manner to keep up with production targets.
• Conduct PPM and refurbish offline machinery and ancillaries.
• Maintain manufacturing equipment to produce product according to established Quality Control specifications and standards.
• Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and quality system requirements.
• Supervise in-process quality and address issues to prevent product holds.
• Operate equipment and processes in compliance with Quality Control, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Work with Operational, Engineering and Quality Control personnel to promote continuous improvement.
• Install and validate new equipment and technology.
• Participate in team meetings and project teams.
• Enter data on to SAP and perform operational duties.

Requirements

• Qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering or a time served apprenticeship.
• Experience in a high volume, highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Methodical approach, organised and self-motivated with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems.
