SPEQ RECRUITMENT LTD is seeking a skilled Production Technician to join our manufacturing team, working on the night shift. This role focuses on technical and processing activities involved in the production of medical device components.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an organized and proactive individual with strong analytical skills and a knack for creative problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have an electrical or mechanical engineering background, familiarity with high-volume, automated manufacturing environments, and knowledge of electrical systems, compressed air, and pressurized systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Swiftly attend to electro-mechanical faults to maintain production targets.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and refurbish offline machinery.
  • Equipment Setup: Ensure all manufacturing equipment operates according to Quality Control standards, maintaining product quality and minimizing waste.
  • Compliance: Adhere to statutory regulations and quality system requirements for process changes and equipment modifications.
  • In-Process Quality Monitoring: Identify and resolve quality issues to prevent production delays.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure equipment and processes comply with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality legislation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to drive improvements.
  • Maintenance & Downtime Management: Ensure all equipment maintenance aligns with schedules, minimizing downtime and controlling repair costs.
  • New Equipment Installation: Support engineering teams during the installation, validation, and transfer of new equipment into production.
  • Operational Tasks: Cover production breaks, operate machinery, assemble products, perform quality checks, and handle pallet release duties.
  • Data Management: Enter data accurately and promptly into SAP.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:Electrical or mechanical engineering degree.
  • Engineering Aptitude:Strong analytical skills with a knack for creative engineering solutions.
  • Skills:Process-oriented, methodical, IT literate, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience:Familiarity with high-volume, automated manufacturing environments is desirable.
  • Safety Awareness:Knowledge of electrical systems, compressed air, and pressurized systems.
  • Self-Motivated:Organized and proactive in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary Range:$45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
