Oakmount Control Systems Limited is a rapidly growing engineering business based in the South West, with offices in Plymouth and Yeovil. Our team of talented Automation, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers work on unique projects for blue chip international customers across various sectors. We design and manufacture special purpose machinery and process control systems, working with leading industrial brands.

Due to expansion, we are seeking an experienced Control Systems Design/Software Engineer to play a key role in project delivery. This role will suit an experienced Control/Electrical Design Engineer who can manage projects from concept to design and manufacture. You'll have a full driving licence and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing effective relationships with electrical and mechanical teams
  • Researching new technologies to optimise performance, quality and profitability
  • Commissioning, servicing and supporting projects at customer premises
  • Ensuring agreed targets are met

You'll be an experienced Control System Design/Software Engineer with a background in a similar industry. You'll produce PLC and HMI programmes using packages like SCADA and PC-based programming languages. The salary for this position is approximately £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This role offers a company pension, on-site parking, and a full-time Monday to Friday schedule. Oakmount Control Systems LTD is located near a stunning waterfront and harbour, providing a great work-life balance.
