Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and driven sales professional to join our team as an Account and Retention Sales Advisor. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our managed base, promoting retention, and upselling our services.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Proactively contact and manage our managed base to maintain revenues and grow our customers' product sets.
  2. Grow your knowledge of products and tariffs, providing regular feedback to enhance our commercial picture.
  3. Communicate with and update Field Account Managers to improve our ability to service and retain customers.
  4. Perform inbound and outbound call activity to establish suitable resolutions for both our customers and the business.
  5. Identify opportunities to maximise growth and revenue through cross-selling opportunities, referring where appropriate to specialist sales teams.
  6. Identify and escalate any process issues and offer suggestions/ideas for suitable resolutions.
  7. Increase customer loyalty and reduce churn by working in synergy with other departments.
  8. Deliver against key business objectives, business service level agreements, and individual key performance indicators.
  9. Ensure clear, concise, and comprehensive notes are entered onto our systems after each and every customer contact, with relevant documents attached where necessary.
  10. Be vigilant for possible fraudulent activity and raise a security incident report if necessary.
  11. Maintain and improve average customer spend through effective opportunity management.
  12. Collaborate with the Head of Sales to align department goals with our overall sales strategy and business objectives.
  13. Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to adjust our strategies accordingly.

  1. Ability to demonstrate an ability to work within a fast-paced environment within the service industry.
  2. Ability to understand, analyse, and interpret data.
  3. Take ownership of issues and follow through to conclusion.
  4. Can-do attitude with a flexible approach to work.
  5. Build and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  6. Excellent, assertive, and controlled telephone manner.
  7. High level of professionalism.
  8. Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
  9. Proven experience in achieving sales targets in telecommunications or a related industry.
  10. Demonstrated expertise in creatively retaining customers and implementing innovative solutions.
