Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join our esteemed Desian Recruitment Ltd, a renowned specialist school in the UK.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A deep understanding of SEND principles and practices.
  • Excellent teaching skills, with experience in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with support staff, therapists, and other specialists.

About the Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and specialists to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters confidence and independence.
  • Implement and contribute to Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) for pupils.
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, adapting teaching strategies to support their development.

About You:
We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching in an SEND or specialist setting.
  • Is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with SEND.
  • Demonstrates creativity, adaptability, and a nurturing approach to teaching.
  • Possesses excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Has experience working with EHCPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (desirable but not essential).

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
