Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary Schools

Location: LS10 and surrounding areas

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to work across primary schools in LS10 and surrounding areas. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small group support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans and interventions.
  • Support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum.
  • Assist with classroom management, behaviour support, and creating an inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of individual learning needs and strategies for differentiation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and nurturing approach.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
