Special Educational Needs Assistant

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, Pudsey.

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time hours

Salary: £85 - £100 Per day

Position Overview:Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating the educational, social, and emotional growth of students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assisting the lead educator in crafting and implementing customized lesson plans for students with SEN.
  • Providing individualized support to students with SEN to aid them in reaching their academic objectives.
  • Fostering a nurturing and inclusive educational atmosphere for children with SEN.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including parents and external professionals, to promote the comprehensive development of SEN students.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths.
  • Relevant experience in supporting children or young individuals with SEN.
  • Familiarity with SEN regulations and best practices.
Educational Background:

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Experience Requirements:

Prior experience in a similar capacity within an educational environment.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Comprehension of diverse learning requirements and effective strategies to assist SEN students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate efficiently within a team setting.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Specialized qualification in SEN.
  • First Aid certification.
Work Environment:

This position entails working within a school context, providing support to students with SEN during educational hours. Participation in occasional meetings outside of standard hours may be necessary.
