Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, Woodhouse, LS3.

Employment Type:

Temporary, with Full-Time hours expected.

£85 - £100 per day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating the learning and development of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Assisting the lead educator in executing personalized education plans.
  • Providing individualized support to students as necessary.
  • Contributing to a nurturing and inclusive educational atmosphere.
  • Supporting the personal care and hygiene requirements of students.
  • Tracking and reporting on student progress.
Essential Qualifications:
  • At least GCSEs in English and Maths.
  • Relevant experience in working with children or individuals with SEN.
Educational Background:

A Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or an equivalent credential.

Experience Requirements:

Experience in a classroom environment with students who have SEN.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Comprehension of diverse learning needs and effective strategies to address them.
  • Strong communication skills with students, educators, and guardians.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a compassionate demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in First Aid.
  • Additional training in supporting SEN.
Work Environment:
  • Work hours may vary based on the educational institution's timetable.
  • Role may involve physical activity and assistance with student mobility.
  • Regular engagement with children, educators, and parents.

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
