About This Role

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and succeed in their studies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working 1:1 or in small groups with students, providing academic and emotional support.
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons that cater to the needs of SEN students.
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support the holistic development of each learner.

Key Requirements:

  • A recent degree from a Russell Group university (preferable but not essential).
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and compassionate attitude towards helping students with SEN.
  • No prior experience is necessary, but any voluntary or paid experience working with children or young adults with special needs is a plus.
