**Job Summary**

The Leeds City Council is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to pupils with complex needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide academic and social support to pupils with complex needs, under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation, ensuring that pupils receive a high-quality education.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting the well-being of all pupils.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to identify and address individual pupil needs.

**Requirements:**

  • Outstanding classroom practitioner with experience working with pupils with complex needs.
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners, promoting a love of learning.
  • Commitment to high standards of attainment and behavior, ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Highly competent in writing and speaking English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive school culture.
