About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our team at Broomfield SILC. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with our Speech and Language Therapist to provide support to young people with complex communication needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized communication plans for students with speech and language difficulties
  • Provide support to students with autism and other complex needs in a variety of settings, including classrooms and therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting students
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and other complex communication needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
