Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

The Governors of Castleton Primary School are seeking a dedicated and skilled SEN teaching assistant to join their team. As a key member of the school community, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support due to complex needs, under the guidance of the teacher.

  • Highly competent in writing and speaking English, with excellent communication skills

As a SEN teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teacher and other staff members to provide a high-quality education for pupils with complex needs. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing individualized support to pupils with complex needs, under the guidance of the teacher
  • Assisting with lesson planning and preparation, and contributing to the development of learning resources
  • Supporting pupils with personal care and daily living skills, as needed
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers to ensure a smooth transition between home and school
