About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a specialist school in Leeds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with SEN on a 1:1 or small group basis
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support and learning interventions
- Assisting with the personal, social, and academic development of pupils with additional needs
- Promoting positive behaviour and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils
Requirements:
- Team Teach qualification is essential
- Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly autism, ADHD, and other learning or behavioural challenges
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
