Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Birchfield Primary School. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons to pupils with SEND
  • Assist pupils with their learning, including providing one-to-one support and small group work
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for our pupils
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils with SEND
Requirements
  • Level 2/3 TA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
