About Us

Cygnet Wast Hills provides support for 21 individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. Our team also supports individuals who may be detained under the Mental Health Act, as well as those who have complex behaviors or significant difficulties with social engagement.

We are looking for a caring and motivated individual to work as part of our Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will receive regular supervision and be eligible for training as part of our Cygnet SLT service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the communication needs of individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs
  • Work directly with individuals or groups under the direction of a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SLT)
  • Report on progress, provide support with resources for individuals, and contribute to the development and maintenance of an accessible communication environment

Requirements

  • A strong interest in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Experience in the field of learning disability and/or autism desirable
  • A genuine desire to help others
  • Ability to follow and comply with delegated tasks
