As a Business Development Engineer at Andy File Associates Limited, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's strategic and technical sales activities in the UK and Ireland. Your primary focus will be on Distribution/Stockists, DNO's/Utility, Contractors, and OEM accounts, ensuring our clients' product portfolio meets the necessary application requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve product approvals within DNO's to ensure our products are included in their standards or replace competitor products.
Provide excellent communication both externally and internally to promote the advantages of our clients' approach, highlighting technical benefits and differentiation.
Directly interface with Product Management for product adaptations and associated value-added services that can be specified with the scheme.
Assist and support internal market intelligence by aiding PM/Technology Teams with the evolution of products applicable for LV and MV connections up to 52kV, including Components, Earthing, Safety Equipment, and associated applications and sectors (Renewable Wind/Solar).
Day-to-Day Duties:
Ensure business objectives (agreed with the Sales Director) for the defined area are achieved.
Achieve agreed monthly sales targets and KPI's.
Manage and maintain a client list for existing and new potential partners, including detailed mapping of our key client base.
Create interest and opportunity to DNO/OEM/Strategic customers.
Follow up on active quotations to ensure customer/sales channel is satisfied/understands our clients' offer/solutions and associated benefits.
Liaise with Technology/Product Managers to produce specifications/adaptations for existing products to enable OEM's to approve use in their projects.
Produce regular reports on the Product Group showing competition-based solutions, potential market value, and our results.
Maximise revenue, profitability, and customer growth with an aim to build strong relationships based on trust and partnerships.
Own and coordinate customer issues, taking appropriate action to solve problems and minimise customer disruptions.
Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
Work with UK and Germany to ensure comprehensive responses can be provided to establish our client as a key technology partner.
Attend relevant training courses within the group
