About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in the Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Service Group. The successful candidate will work within the multidisciplinary community Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services to children and adolescents with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for children and adolescents with mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose and treat mental health conditions
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures
About the Team

The Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Service Group provides a range of community and inpatient services to a diverse population. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs, and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team.

Requirements
  • Registered with the GMC and licensed to practice
  • On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview
  • Experience of working with children and adolescents with mental health needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and cope with competing demands
