About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. As a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical pharmacy services to assigned wards, including daily visits, medicines reconciliation, assessment of patients' own medicines, counselling patients, preparing for patients discharge, and ensuring medication is available on the wards.
  • Assist Advanced/Principal Pharmacy Technicians/Pharmacists to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients.
  • Utilise technical and pharmaceutical skills to ensure control, security, quality, and value for money of medicines.
  • Support the wards/areas with medicines management in line with trust policies.
  • Train pharmacy and other staff, acting as a role model for all trainees.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including annual leave, pension scheme, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
