Key Responsibilities:

As an Insurance Business Development Manager at Simply Business, you will be responsible for driving commercial insurance growth and development. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to support the best outcomes for the business and our customers.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Guide and support sales, business development, and relationship management with prospective insurers.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with prospective insurers and build contacts in the insurance market.
  • Manage the process for onboarding new insurers onto Simply Business's new products or existing panels.
  • Assist and support key negotiations with new insurers to achieve the best financial results for Simply Business while maintaining strong and lasting relationships.
  • Oversee projects to unlock capacity and support our strategy.

Requirements:
  • Self-assured and calm in complex situations.
  • Experienced in handling commercial insurance negotiations and can deliver results.
  • Able to use good judgement and make well-informed recommendations and decisions.
  • Creative with their solutions and new ideas to support negotiations.
  • Tactical and can recognise trends and use these to inform new insurers' activity.
