Insurance Business Development Manager

Simply Business is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Business Development Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving commercial insurance growth and development, working closely with internal stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for the business and our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide and support sales, business development, and relationship management with prospective insurers.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with prospective insurers and establish contacts in the insurance market.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new insurers onto Simply Business's new products or existing panels.
  • Assist and support key negotiations with new insurers to achieve the best financial results for Simply Business while maintaining strong and lasting relationships.
  • Oversee projects to unlock capacity and support our strategy.
Requirements:
  • Self-assured and calm in complex situations.
  • Experienced in handling commercial insurance negotiations and delivering results.
  • Able to use good judgment and make well-informed recommendations and decisions.
  • Creative with solutions and new ideas to support negotiations.
  • Tactical and able to recognize trends and use them to inform new insurers' activity.
