As a Neighbourhood Housing Specialist with Ashford Borough Council, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality housing service to tenants and residents across the borough.

This exciting opportunity allows you to manage a designated patch, providing a dedicated service to meet the needs of local communities.

The Role
  • Deliver a neighbourhood-based housing service, addressing rent arrears and anti-social behaviour (ASB) through proactive collaboration with agencies.
  • Conduct regular property and estate inspections to ensure council properties are maintained to a high standard.
  • Promote community cohesion and engagement through active partnership working with tenants and residents.
  • Work closely with partner agencies to provide safeguarding, welfare support, and multi-agency solutions.
  • Assist with income management, ensuring effective rent account maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Address ASB in partnership with agencies such as the Police and social care services.
  • Conduct welfare checks for vulnerable tenants and make safeguarding referrals as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory landlord duties, including gas and electrical safety checks.

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 per annum (PAYE: £20.57 LTD)
