Neighbourhood Housing Specialist

As a Neighbourhood Housing Specialist with Service Care Solutions - Housing, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality housing service to tenants and residents across Ashford Borough Council.
The estimated salary for this position is £16.75 PAYE or £20 LTD per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage rent arrears and address anti-social behaviour (ASB) through effective neighbourhood-based interventions.
- Conduct property and estate inspections to ensure council properties are maintained to a high standard, promoting community cohesion and engagement.
- Support tenants in meeting their tenancy obligations, taking enforcement action when necessary to maintain positive relationships.
- Promote community engagement and collaboration with tenants and residents, fostering a sense of belonging and inclusivity.
- Efficiently manage void properties, minimizing turnaround times and ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements.
- Collaborate with partner agencies to provide safeguarding, welfare support, and multi-agency solutions that benefit the community.
- Assist with income management, ensuring rent accounts are effectively maintained and up-to-date.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with tenants, residents, and partner agencies.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities and circumstances.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address complex issues related to housing and community engagement.
