About the Role

The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Palliative Medicine Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior trainee to gain in-depth experience in Palliative Medicine and contribute to the development of our palliative care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to patients with life-limiting conditions in our specialist inpatient wards and community settings.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
  • Work closely with our team of consultants, associate specialists, and specialty doctors to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff and students.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our palliative care services.
Person Specification
  • MB ChB/MB BS or equivalent qualification.
  • GMC registration.
  • MRCP/MRCGP or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of palliative medicine or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
