About the Role

The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Palliative Medicine Fellow to join our team. As a Palliative Medicine Fellow, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our palliative care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, including those in inpatient hospice settings and community-based settings.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans for patients.
  • Conduct ward rounds and provide education to junior staff on palliative care principles and practices.
  • Contribute to the development of quality improvement projects and initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in research and audit activities to improve the quality of palliative care services.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • MB ChB/MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • GMC registration.
  • MRCP/MRCGP or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
  • Experience of palliative medicine or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
